Many pilgrims spend only a few transit hours in Jeddah on the way to Makkah, but a short stopover lets you see Al-Balad or the corniche. Remember that if you are flying in to begin Umrah, you should enter Ihram before crossing the Miqat, not after landing in Jeddah — see our Miqat guide.
